Plain-language explanation of how Workflow Vitals makes money, and what that does and does not affect.
The short version
Workflow Vitals may earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through links on this site. If you click a link to a software product and then sign up or buy, the site may receive a payment from that company. This does not cost you anything extra.
An affiliate relationship does not guarantee a positive recommendation. Earning a commission from a product does not mean that product is recommended, rated highly, or described more favourably than it deserves.
Current status
As of the last update to this page, no affiliate links are active anywhere on Workflow Vitals, and the site has no live affiliate relationships in place. This disclosure is published in advance so that the policy is clear before any commercial links exist.

What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link with a tag attached that identifies where the visitor came from. If someone follows that link and later buys a subscription or product, the company pays the referring site a percentage or a fixed fee. It is a common way for independent sites to fund their work.
The price you pay is the same whether you use an affiliate link or go to the product directly. Workflow Vitals does not receive any information about you personally as a result of a commission.
What a commission does not buy
- It does not buy a recommendation. Products that pay a commission are not automatically recommended, and products that pay nothing are not excluded.
- It does not remove the criticism. Limitations, missing features, and situations where a tool is the wrong choice are stated regardless of any commercial relationship.
- It does not create rankings. No page will rank one tool above another on the basis of what it pays.
- It does not let a vendor approve the copy. No company gets to review or sign off on what a page says before it is published.
How affiliate links will be marked
When affiliate links are introduced, the intention is that:
- a clear disclosure appears on any page that contains affiliate links, near the links themselves and before they appear in the reading order, not only in the footer;

No dark patterns
This site does not use countdown timers, fake scarcity, invented discount deadlines, pre-ticked boxes, or interfaces designed to make declining something harder than accepting it. Links are links, and their destination is stated.
Tracking
Affiliate programmes usually rely on tracking of some kind, most often a cookie set by the merchant after a link is clicked. None of that is active on this site today. The privacy policy describes the current position and will be updated before any tracking is introduced.
